This Balearic Island, known for being a popular wild party destination often deter people who are not looking for all-night parties. But Ibiza is way more than that. Apart from the best DJs in the world, Ibiza is filled with history, breathtaking views, white-sand beaches, water activities and some of the most delicious food.
Here’s a list of 10 things to do in Ibiza for all types of travellers
1. Relax at Playa d’en Bossa
The longest stretch of beach in Ibiza is the perfect chill-out place during the day. It’s dotted with sunbeds, cool bars and beach restaurants. For the more active ones, there are excellent water-sport facilities including stand-up paddle, kayaks, catamaran, jet ski, diving school, and volleyball.
2. Spend a day at O Beach club
Day party at its best! If you want good music, delicious food and cocktails, a refreshing pool, and even acrobatic performances – all that while soaking up the Balearic sun, spend a day at O Beach!

3. Dance to the best world’s DJs at Ushuaรฏa
Ushuaรฏa, the #1 open-air club in Ibiza hosts the top DJs of the world almost every day during the summer season. We went to see Kygo and he put on a fantastic show with amazing light effects and props flying in the air! Also, the shows don’t start super late like in some other clubs which is great if you’re not into partying till the early hours.
4. Visit the Old Town
Ibiza Old Town – Dalt Vila is a UNESCO World Heritage site is a melting pot of history with ancient buildings and narrow, cobbled streets offering wonderful panoramic views. There you can visit the Cathedral of Nuestra Seรฑora de las Nieves and check out the world-class Contemporary Art Museum, or watch a movie at the open-air Cinema Paradiso. You can also eat in one of the many best restaurants on the island and shop for some cool handcrafted goods.

5. Go on a boat party
If you want a fun party with some of the best views of the island and good house music beats, go on a boat party with Float Your Boat. It starts in the early afternoon and continues until the sun goes down offering the best spot for the sunset!
6. Order a (black squid ink) paella
Forget kebabs and pizzas, you’re in Spain! Order a paella which is a traditional dish of the Spanish gastronomy. Not only paella is a healthier option, but it’s also very delicious. If you’re feeling a bit more adventurous, opt for a black squid ink paella.
7. Rent a scooter and explore the island
With more than eighty beaches around Ibiza’s beautiful coastline, you’re spoilt for choice! However, when it comes to getting to those beaches there’s no better transport than a scooter. Car parks get full up very quickly and it can be a huge struggle to find space for your car. Time wasted looking for a parking spot could be spent on the beach!
Platges de Comte was my favourite spot with fabulous views and turquoise water.
8. Have lunch at Sunset Ashram
Located at a Platges de Comte beach, Sunset Ashram offers a relaxing atmosphere with the most stunning views, delicious food and amazing chill house music in the background. Even though the queues for the food were quite long, I still recommend the place as everything else was great. We didn’t stay for the sunset, but I can see this being an incredible place for it.
9. Take a ferry to Formentera island
Ibiza’s sister island Formentera and its white-sand beaches and crystal clear turquoise waters is a must-see. It’s quiet and relaxing compared to Ibiza and is only 30min ferry ride away. There isn’t much to do apart from lazing on the beach or indulging in seafood in one of its beach restaurants, but that’s the whole point.

10. Watch the sunset at Kasbah Sunset Ibiza
As you probably already know, sunsets in Ibiza are stunning. There are lots of sunset bars where you can watch the sun going down, the most popular being Cafรฉ del Mar and Cafรฉ Mambo. While these places offer great views, they are loud and extremely crowded with nowhere to sit or even stand.
If you want to enjoy watching the sunset, go to Kasbah Sunset Ibiza cocktail bar & restaurant instead. It’s not crowded like the other places and if you’re a little bit early, you can even get a table right at the front.
How to get there:
Ibiza has an international airport located 7 km (4.3 mi) southwest of Ibiza Town.
Several airlines are flying from the UK to Ibiza: Ryanair, Easyjet, Jet2, British Airways, TUI, Thomas Cook Airlines and Norwegian. To find the best flight, I recommend searching on Skyscanner.
